Weekend Recap

Dave and I are really trying to take advantage of our days here in LA. This may or may not be the last year we are in LA, so we need to live it up! Here is a little recap of our weekend.

FRIDAY:
We went on our Friday night date to the Melting Pot in Pasadena and indulged in some fondue. We had a two-course meal with meat, veggies, spinach and artichoke fondue, and chocolate fondue. Yum! It was fun to be out in Old Town since it has been a while. It is such a charming area to walk around at night. And it is only 5 minutes from where we live! We really need to take advantage of this more often.

SATURDAY:
On Saturday morning, Dave and I ran 3 miles around the Rose Bowl. I used to run 6-8 miles but haven't been running long distance since I did the Ragnar Relay. I need to get back into it! Maybe another half marathon in the near future? Anyway, it was a nice run. Then we watched the BYU game around noon and BYU won! Go cougs! And finally, that evening we attended the Sound of Music sing-a-long at the Hollywood Bowl. I just love that movie! It was silly but so much fun at the same time. The crowd was awesome! Oh and it was our first time at the Hollywood Bowl. Loved it! After the show, we walked around Hollywood since we don't know that area very well. It's a crazy scene!

SUNDAY:
Sunday was spent relaxing and catching up for the week ahead. We had church, took naps, ate dinner, and watched the first season of Downton Abbey!

Overall it was a fun-filled weekend. Hope yours was too!
